My FreeLance art business is called : Go with the Flow Artwork and I do not rely on it as a soul means of income, rather I rely on it as a means of release for my sometimes pent up Inspirational moments.
I can go for months without painting anything and then I will wake up one day and spend the entire day painting. Latley I have been involved in some Community “art walks” This is when our small business community here in Lakewood gives free publicity to its city’s own local artists and at the same time brings potential customers in to stores that one might not have otherwise known about.
I am friends with the owner of Goddess Blessed, a small shop in Lakewood and have had my artworkhanging there for sale for the last couple of years. Just this year I have been the Store’s featured artist during this much publicized ArtWalk. It happens in May and in October… I worked on paintings just for the occassion each time.
I will be having my first official “Art Show” all of my own at the store in the spring. We will be advertising and getting the word out in hopes of a nice turn out to officially introduce my work to the world…or just to Lakewood as it happens.When I have a date I will post it but I hope to see people there that I do not personally know just to have the experience of watching random lovers of art express thier opinions of what I pour my heart and soul into.
I have been asked to do this before but I never feel like I am ready, I never feel as if I have enough or have the right paintings out… its just time to do it! have 6 months till spring and I hope to get some of my best work done to share with the local artworld!
